The Revelation book has always been hard to swallow. I think most dubs just ignore it or think it is just too "deep" for them. It's DEEP all right.
Hi Gumby. How are you?
ok, i didn't go the kh at least.
i have a couple who have been my friends for years, i studied with them and they became witnoids.
he is now and ms and was conducting a book study in a home last night.

Hi Gumby. How are you?
i was an elder for 10 years.
there were some questions that i was asked by the flock which.
i could not answer.
Where does Jehovah store all the memories of those who die? They make it sound like he has some huge computer bank in the heavens where all our "information" is kept. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, heh?
what your opinion?.
should we question religous authority only?
what about governmental authority?
Absolutely, we must question authority or become mere puppets. Thanks for the Timothy Leary video. I will watch it tomorrow. One of my heroes.
on numerous occasions on this site there have been discussion of the jw's drinking "kool aid".
if the watchtower said to do so.
i often laughed at this.
They would have to convince the jws that the great tribulation had begun and this was JEHOVAH'S REVEALED WAY OF PROTECTING HIS SERVANTS. They could possibly do this with a few scriptures. One that comes to mind talks about going into your inner chamber and hide until the destruction passes over. Sorry, can't remember book or verse.
I really don't know how many would comply. It would also have to be built up beforehand and stated as a test of their faithfullness to Jehovah.
Let's hope it never happens.
as i've said a billion (well - at least ten, lol) times here before, i consider myself an atheist that wouldn't mind believing in a god if sufficient grounds to do so were presented to me.. as such, i have been toying with the idea of going on a spiritual journey, to see what i could find.
i was for a time thinking of making a thread here - in all seriousness and sincerity - where i would let you take part in several (possibly, unless i found what i was looking for right away) such steps, in which i would first 'test' the episcopalian (and some other christians') approach and sincerely ask jesus to enter my heart as my saviour and so on.
and that if i indeed experienced something from it, so be it - i would have to accept it and live by it.
A spiritual journey starts with learning to be still. One must learn to observe the mind and the story that it weaves. You are not your thinking processes. Who is the one listening to the drama created by the mind?
As for reading, The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, is a good place to start.

"through out strategic partnership with the watchtower and with our new partners in salt lake city, we are fully confident that we can get a man who truly reflects our forward-looking values and ambitions for a truly world-wide outreach to clear our planet of its ills.
Romney has risen as far as he has because he has tons of money. Unfortunately, the election of a president in this great democrasy can only be achieved with lots and lots of money.
This article cannot be ligitimate.
it's starting to become harder and harder to hang out with witnesses.
all their talk about how evil the world is, etc.
i was at a gathering last night, and this older couple was their talking about how their granddaughter came back because she got a taste of how the world was, her so-called friends were freeloading off her and stealing her stuff.
Emy,
That's a great story! It gives me hope that my husband will wake up one day. Your husband is very patient. How nice for both of you.
I recently attended a jw event of about 20 women. It was interesting, but mostly just chit chat, not too much jw speak. Most were nice to me as I am not dfd, but havn't attended a meeting in the past 2 years. A few looked at me with suspicious eyes and kept a respectable difference.
Before I quit attending though, the meetings would make me come unglued. I left to maintain my sanity. I think disassociating is playing by their rules. If I decide to do something and get "caught", the fade will come to it's natural conclusion. No judicial meetings, no sheparding visits. They will have to have their party by themselves, as I will not participate in any way. I owe them absolutely nothing and they are not my judges in any sense of the word.
"Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same."
here's a couple of mine;.
"eleanor rigby, waits at the window wearing a face she keeps in a jar by the door" eleanor rigby - thebeatles.. "there's a hole in my soul, you can see it im my face it's a real big place" feel - robbie williams.
.
I have a lot of favorite lines from songs. Right now, the one that keeps running in my head is-"Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same." By The Frey
what would qualify as the most paradise-like spot on earth?
i'd say somewhere in the pacific islands.. tropical breezes, lying in the warm sun on beautiful beaches ..... and so on.. but funny isn't it that these places often have high rates of suicide!?.

The jw paradise is a very materialistic dream. They talk about the nice homes they will claim from the deceased after armegeddon. How long will it take them to set up a corrupt system that mirrors their covetousness? As greed sets in, who decides which people get to live in the most beautiful places? And the "princes will be crtain to bask in their newfound glory.
It would never work because it is based on material things and has nothing to do with real spirituality.
it's informational and it doesn't have r&b music!
when you see how horrible my bedroom looks, it might make you ill!!
but the truth is stranger than fiction!.
Hilarious video. and so true. I must be in the 15 year group cause I done passed the 5 year one. Why are women so cursed?
